Destination Cellars is excited to announce that we will be presenting a blind whisky tasting of some of the world's best whiskies for World Whisky Day, on Friday May 17th at 7.30pm in the beautiful maritime surrounds of The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, Sandy Bay.
Sadly, this will be our last event, as Todd has accepted a position overseas, so this will be our Grand Finale! This is a whisky event purely for the love of whisky as we pay homage to some of the great producers and drams from the various corners of the world that we have showcased over the last decade.
We will be offering you seven whiskies from seven different countries. Over the years we have introduced you to the greater world of whisky, with great drams from Iceland to Ireland, Sweden to Scotland, Taiwan to Tasmania, Israel to India, Finland to France and a few more in between. We have chosen a selection of drams that have greatly influenced us over the years, including some that have won the coveted award of World's Best.
If you would like to have a crack at guessing where they are from - then please do. You might even win a prize! If you would prefer to sit back and relax and just drink in the whisky goodness in great company - then please do. This is a relaxed fun event for good banter and booze.
There will be giveaway prizes on the night as well as a silent auction to give you a chance at picking up a bargain.
Tickets are $75 per person and must be booked in advance as seats are limited. Your ticket included 7 x 15ml pours as well as finger food and good times.
